Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during the 14-day Pro trial?
You get full access to all Pro features including unlimited photos, bulk operations, and XMP exports. No credit card required. After 14 days, you can choose to continue with Pro at $9.99/month or downgrade to the free plan.
Do you upload my photos to the cloud?
Never. Media Wrangler is metadata-only. Your original photos stay exactly where they are on your drives. We only index the metadata (EXIF, IPTC, XMP) to create a searchable catalog.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. If you cancel, you'll keep Pro features until the end of your billing period.
What file formats do you support?
We support all major photo formats including RAW files (CR2, NEF, ARW, DNG, etc.), JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and more. We also read XMP sidecars for RAW files and can generate them for metadata exports.
Is there a Mac version?
Currently, Media Wrangler is Windows-only with native support for NTFS, exFAT, and FAT32 drives. Mac and Linux versions are on our roadmap for 2025. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when they're available.
